FRAMINGHAM, Mass., July 14, 2022– Rave Mobile Safety (Rave), provider of the critical communication and collaboration platform that federal, national, and local government agencies; corporations; educational institutions; and healthcare organizations count on when it matters most, announced today that Dr. Jillian Peterson, forensic psychologist and professor of criminology, and Brett Culp, filmmaker and social entrepreneur, will deliver keynote presentations during the company’s annual Rave Summit. The free September 27-29 virtual program will begin with training for Rave customers and those interested in learning more about Rave’s safety solutions, while the final two days will feature two timely keynote addresses and 21 educational and roundtable sessions. All Summit content will be available to registrants for 12 months.
This year’s theme, “Build Resilience Together,” will reinforce the importance of proactively managing crisis communication, collaboration, preparation, operational efficiencies, and recovery. Throughout the three-day event, attendees will learn from industry leaders and customers as well as Rave team members who offer a broad range of safety insights and experience. The Summit is designed to help address common challenges across diverse industries by offering thought leadership, best practices, case studies, product overviews, and interactive breakout sessions.
“With all the challenges we’ve experienced in recent years – a global pandemic, active shooter incidents, natural disasters, severe weather scenarios, civil unrest – now is the time to come together to discuss the ways that we can build the resiliency needed to manage high-stress roles and high-stakes issues,” said Todd Piett, CEO of Rave. “This year’s Summit will examine persistent operational hurdles, emphasize the importance of innovative thinking in the workplace, and help solve some of the most pressing public safety needs of our times.”
Understanding and Utilizing Technology in the Interest of Safety
Each year, Summit kicks off with product training so that attendees can better understand the various Rave technology offerings and the capabilities at their disposal. As a product innovator, Rave is always updating its wide array of solutions and product features to meet the evolving demands of stakeholders and society. Training Day attendees will find out how to optimize their current technologies or learn about ancillary Rave products that may enhance their safety efforts. The one-day training session covers some of Rave’s hallmark offerings including Rave Alert (7 Sessions), Rave Aware, Rave Collaborate, Rave 911 Suite, Rave Prepare, AppArmor (2 Sessions), and Swift K12.
Perspective and Inspiration for Today’s Safety Leaders
Dr. Jillian Peterson, a forensic psychologist and professor of criminology at Hamline University, will deliver the Summit’s first keynote. Dr. Peterson previously served as an investigator on death penalty cases in New York City and is co-author of the highly acclaimed book, The Violence Project: How to Stop a Mass Shooting Epidemic, which delves into the lives of mass shooters. Dr. Peterson believes that the best way to prevent violence is to deeply understand the life histories of people who commit such atrocities.
Brett Culp will deliver an equally impressive keynote on the final day. Culp encourages audiences to foster and accept change and will inspire attendees to embrace their leadership role during uncertain times. The award-winning documentary filmmaker’s message is certain to resonate with Summit attendees who work in pressure-filled roles each day.
