Texas State Funding and Procurement – funding options available and upcoming with Governor Abbott recently announcing that $100 million will be invested into school safety
As a part of the bipartisan push to pass a comprehensive school safety package in the wake of Uvalde, the Texas Legislature and Governor Abbott have authorized over $17 million towards a grant for schools to purchase and install panic alarm systems and programs.
On October 28, 2022, the Texas Education Agency (TEA), released its guidelines for distributing that funding.
To help school districts across the state along with this process, watch Rave Mobile Safety and Comprehensive Communication Services of Texas share an overview of the program, how to get started on submitting your application and the tools and technology that qualify.
